MANILA, Philippines—Veteran internationalists Camille Manalo, Elaine Alora and Brix Darmo Ramos headed the list of winners in the recent Smart CPJ (Carlos Palanca Jr.) taekwondo championships at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Carrying the colors of the University of Santo Tomas, Manalo bested Delta’s Karla Ramos to bag the gold in the senior women’s lightweight class, while Delta’s Alora outkicked Yna Cawilt to rule the welterweight class.
Team Sport’s Ramos pocketed the gold medal in the senior men’s heavyweight division at the expense of the University of the East’s Anthony Samia.
