MANILA, Philippines—Jalen Green and David Carlos put on a show that left the judges stunned and shared the championship trophy of the Dunk Contest of the 2019 NBTC National Finals Saturday at Mall of Asia Arena.
Both dunkers got a score of 50 on their finals dunks much to the delight of the crowd.
Carlos went for a left-handed tomahawk while jumping over four people and Green did a behind-the-back jam and those coupe of jams forced the judges Metta World Peace, Dylan Ababou, Kobe Paras, Ricci Rivero, Joshua Munzon.

Kai Balungay of FilAm Sports and Darwin Cantong were also part of the dunk-off.
John Erolon of St. Louis Don-Bosco Dumaguete scored 16 points to take the crown in the Three-Point Shooutout.
FilAm Sports’ Ethan Galang came in second with 13.
Also in the Three-Point Shootout were Jerric Palma of Top Flight Hoops-Vancouver, Jordan Perez of Camp David-New Zealand, Jason Diaz of Durham Crossover-Canada, Luigi Cuevas of Italy Europe Proudly Pinoy, Jarred Lao of La Salle Green Hils, and Angelo Cacho of University of Baguio.
AusPinoy’s Jasper Rentoy won the Skills Challenge brushing off Carl Tamayo of Nazareth School of Naitonal University in the title match.
RJ Abarrientos of Far Eastern University-Diliman and Kai Sotto of Ateneo made it to the finals of the skills exhibition while Ateneo’s Geo Chiu, LSGH’s Ladis Lepalam, Camp David-New Zealand’s Reimar Cruz, and Dolores National HS-Eastern Samar’s Robert Norombaba were eliminated after the first round.
