La Salle wins 4th UAAP Streetdance title
MANILA, Philippines—De La Salle Dance Company became the most successful dance troupe in the league after claiming the title in the UAAP Season 81 streetdance competition Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Dance Company scored a total of 86.50 points besting out first runners-up Far Eastern University Street Alliance whot earned 85 points and second runners-up National University Underdawgz, which got 83.25 points.
La Salle, which went for a Queen-inspired routine in this year’s event, now has four titles in the competition while University of the Philippines has the second most championships with three.
University of Santo Tomas Galvanize won their second straight title in the juniors’ division finishing with 80.1 points.
University of the East Varsity Team came at second with 74.5 points while FEU-Diliman Baby Tamaraws Dance Company rounded out the podium with 74.45 points for the third spot.
