UAAP men’s volleyball: NU gets 8th straight win, Ateneo blanks La Salle

MANILA, Philippines—National University continued its hot streak with a dominant win over University of the East, 25-7, 25-21, 25-15, in the UAAP Season 81 men’s volleyball tournament Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Center.

The Bulldogs bumped their winning run to eight straight games to improve to a league-best 8-1 record while the Red Warriors dropped to 2-7.

Bryan Bagunas led NU with 22 points while Angelo Almendras added 11 points.

In the other game, Ateneo swept De La Salle 25-22, 25-20, 25-20, to solidify its place at  third with 6-3 card.

Antony Koyfman had 22 points for the Blue Eagles while Ron Medalla and Chumason Njigha had 14 and 13 points, respectively.

Chris Dumago had 15 points to lead the Green Archers.
