Jaja Santiago is returning—and she couldn’t have picked a better time for her comeback.
The towering Santiago, who is coming off an impressive stint with Ageo Medics in the Japanese V-League Division 1, will reinforce Foton on Saturday when it takes on F2 Logistics in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at Filoil Flying V Centre.
The 6-foot-6 Santiago averaged 11.7 points and scored 23 points in Ageo’s match against Denso Airybees in their last game of the Final 8.
Petron, meanwhile, guns for win No. 14 when it faces going up against United VC at 6 p.m., right after the 4 p.m. duel between Foton and F2.
Santiago’s sister Diane, who manages Foton, confirmed that the former National U star will beef up the Tornadoes, who are on a 10-game losing run.
Another Santiago sister, Dindin Manabat, and new import Milagros Collar have already checked in with the Tornadoes in a bid to reverse Foton’s alarming slide.
