UAAP volleyball: Lady Eagles stay hot, close in on Final 4 ticket

MANILA, Philippines—Ateneo crushed an off-form Far Eastern University, 25-21, 25-10, 25-18, as it moves closer to the UAAP women’s volleyball Final Four Wednesday at FilOil Flying V Center.

At 9-1, the Lady Eagles need just one more win to secure at least a playoff for the a Final Four berth. But most importantly, they sustained their winning streak to nine.

Kat Tolentino scored 11 points, while Deanna Wong took care of running the offense with 30 excellent sets on top of four markers.

The Lady Tamaraws were totally outplayed in all departments. They dropped to 6-4 in a triple-tie at third place with University of Santo Tomas and University of the Philippines.

FEU also failed to get a single point from their scoring leader Celine Domingo who averages 11.9 points but was scoreless for the evening.
