Kai Sotto starts workout at Atlanta Hawks’ training facility

MANILA, Philippines—Kai Sotto is taking in that NBA-caliber preparation in his hopes of making it to the premier basketball league in the world.

The 7-foot-2 youngster is on the second day of his training at Emory Sports Medicine Complex, the location of the Atlanta Hawks’ training facility, as shared through his Instagram stories.

Sotto, the 16-year-old MVP of the UAAP Season 81 juniors’ basketball tournament, is looking to become the first homegrown Filipino basketball player to enter the NBA and his initial stop is to play professionally in Europe.

Before he goes to Europe, though, Sotto and his dad Ervin made a stop in Atlanta to further develop his skills.

Sotto, though, isn’t spending all his time just training. He also paid a visit to State Farm Arena and watched the Hawks beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 130-122.
