F2 Logistics is expected to unleash its full might against resurgent Foton in Thursday’s sudden-death for a semifinal berth in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix at Filoil Flying V Centre.
Stung the first time around, the Cargo Movers will have no more match to spare against the Tornadoes, who forced the rubber match after a masterful five-set victory last Saturday.
F2 coach Ramil de Jesus said they have gone back to the drawing board and will make adjustments for the 7 p.m. match.
He also did not say if his starting setter, Kim Fajardo, who is recuperating from an illness, will suit up.
“This is do-or-die, everything we did in the eliminations will be useless if we don’t win,” said De Jesus, whose wards finished the preliminaries with a second-best 11-3 record.
F2 Logistics will have a formidable roster in imports Maria Jose Perez and Lindsay Stalzer, who have developed chemistry with local stars Aby Maraño, Ara Galang and Majoy Baron.
And despite the shocking win, Foton coach Aaron Velez said they cannot rest easy because he expects the Cargo Movers to come back strong.
“It was a good win, it allowed us to stay in contention, but we will need to exert more effort this time,” Velez added.
With Jaja Santiago easing up the tight rotation, Foton scored a 27-25, 19-25, 25-22, 16-25, 15-12 win.
Courtney Felinski, Milagros Collar and Maika Ortiz also starred in their third straight win after suffering 11 successive defeats.
