MANILA, Philippines—Ramon Gonzales opened the show in spectacular fashion and submitted Japan’s Akihiro Fujisawa 1:19 into the fight in the flyweight division in ONE: Roots of Honor Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Gonzales (4-2) was the clear aggressor and had Fujisawa’s (5-1-0) back before pinning him against the cage to slap the standing guillotine choke.

The fight was eventually stopped awarding the Filipino his third straight win, all in ONE Championship.

Fujisawa saw his five-fight winning streak get snapped.

Martin Nguyen will defend his ONE World featherweight title against Narantungalag Jadambaa in the main event while Team Lakay’s Joshua Pacio will look to reclaim the ONE World strawweight belt from Yosuke Saruta in the co-main event.
