San Miguel’s Standhardinger ejected in 2nd quarter of Game 2 vs Phoenix

MANILA, Philippines—San Miguel Beer big man Christian Standhardinger got ejected in the second quarter against Phoenix in Game 2 of their Philippine Cup semifinals series Monday night at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Standhardinger was called for a flagrant foul penalty 2 and was tossed at the 6:10 mark after his foot hit Fuel Masters forward Calvin Abueva in the face as the two got tangled up while down on the floor.
The 6-foot-8 Fil-German had two points and four rebounds in just nine minutes and 20 seconds of play.
He scored 12 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to help the Beermen rout the Fuel Masters, 100-88, in Game 1 on Saturday.
The Fuel Masters lead the Beermen, 46-37, at the half as of posting time.
