Philippine Open champion Clyde Mondilla shoots for another major title as he headlines a compact, talented field seeing action Tuesday at the start of the P5 million The Country Club Invitational in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
Mondilla became the 101st Open champion a couple of weeks back by solving the TCC layout even as Micah Shin tries to become the first repeat winner of the elite tournament that will be playing its 15th edition.
Juvic Pagunsan is also in the field and the Bacolod native and Japan Tour regular will be trying to make up for a missed cut stint in the Open where he shot a horrendous 86 in the second round.
Pagunsan and Angelo Que have won this event three times and both will be trying to break out of that tie this week.
Past champions like Frankie Miñoza and Antonio Lascuña are also entered, with Miñoza to play the first two rounds together with fellow Bukidnon native Mondilla.
