Charles Rhodes rejoins San Miguel for 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup
MANILA, Philippines—Charles Rhodes is set to return with San Miguel Beer in the 2019 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Rhodes announced the news on his Instagram account Wednesday to the delight of SMB fans.
Article continues after this advertisementIn his first PBA, Rhodes led the Beermen to a championship in the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup, where he was also named Best Import.

The 33-year-old Rhodes, who was the perfect complement to June Mar Fajardo in the frontcourt, will now form a fearsome trio with the reigning five-time MVP and versatile big man Christian Standhardinger.
The Beermen fell short in the Commissioner’s Cup finals last year against Barangay Ginebra with Renaldo Balkman as their reinforcement.
Rhodes spent his last two years in the Korean Basketball League.
