MANILA, Philippines—Arwind Santos reached another milestone after climbing to seventh place in the PBA’s all-time blocks ladder Tuesday night.
And the San Miguel Beer forward is showing no signs of slowing down.
Santos is still going strong with each game, proving that he still has a lot to show at 37.

“I’m very thankful for this. It feels really good. It’s something that you can share with your kids and be proud of,” Santos said in Filipino.
The 6-foot-4 Santos came into Tuesday’s game tied with Manny Victorino with 817 career blocks.
He broke the tie after rejecting Phoenix’s Jason Perkins at the 10:37 mark of the first quarter in Game 4 of their PBA Philippine Cup semifinals series.
Santos is far from done.
“I can still catchup on the others. Why not? I can’t still do it. I hope I get to reach them. I would be satisfied and happy if I at least crack the top five.”
With 819 blocks after the 114-91 win over the Fuel Masters that moved the Beermen on the cusp of another finals appearance, Santos next target is sixth-place Abet Guidaben, who has 922 swats.
