MANILA, Philippines—Richard “Notorious” Corminal got knocked out in first round in his ONE Championship debut in March of 2017 then, suffered an opening round submission eight months later before taking another stoppage loss last year.

The string of awful setbacks would’ve been a reason for most fighters to just turn their backs and walk away.

Corminal has made a lot of efforts and sacrifices ahead of what could be a make or break fight for him in the promotion and one of which is leaving and moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to focus on his training and martial arts career.

“I want to show to everyone that I continuously improve each time I fight,” he said.

“I want my family to be proud of me because all these sacrifices are for them. I will do everything to get that win in Singapore.”
