PBA D-League: Go for Gold dumps Petron-Letran, strengthens playoff bid
MANILA, Philippines—Go for Gold-College of St. Benilde kept its playoff bid alive demolishing back Petron-Colegio de San Juan de Letran, 108-87, in the 2019 PBA D-League Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Roosevelt Adams led the Scratchers with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks, and he was also the one to put over the team late in the game.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Knights trailed by 11 points, 92-81, with 3:50 left in the game before Adams went on a personal 9-3 run that gave GFG a 101-84 lead with 1:50 remaining, essentially securing the Scratchers’ 4-3 record to stay in the playoff picture of the Aspirants Group.
“This is what I expect from him, this is the reason why I got him,” said Scratchers head coach Charles Tiu of Adams.
Unique Naboa pitched in 20 points, five rebounds, and seven assists for GFG while Yankie Haruna and Clement Leutcheu had 14 points apiece.
Jeo Ambohot had 22 points and 16 rebounds for Petron-Letran, which dropped to 5-3.
