Lady Maroons’ Justine Dorog, Marian Buitre join Foton in PSL
MANILA, Philippines—A couple of collegiate veterans from University of the Philippines are set to bolster Foton in the Philippine Super Liga All-Filipino Conference.
Justine Dorog and Marian Buitre will join a stacked Foton team that has sisters Dindin Santiago-Manabat and Jaja Santiago, Maika Ortiz, and Mina Aganon in its roster.
Dorog posted on Twitter that she’ll join the two-time champions while Buitre opted for an Instagram story to announce her decision.
“New team, for me to learn and grow more as a player,” Dorog said in a tweet.
Thank you Foton for the super warm welcome. 💙

The two were key players to the Lady Maroons’ preseason success when they won the collegiate conferences in both the PSL and the Premier Volleyball League.
That success, however, did not translate to the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament when UP failed to enter the Final Four with a 6-8 record for the no.5 spot in the ladder.
Dorog finished Season 81 with 101 points while Buitre had 74.
