PBA D-League: FEU nears playoffs after nipping Diliman College-Gerry’s

MANILA, Philippines—Far Eastern University closed in on a playoff spot after an 88-81 win over Diliman College-Gerry’s Grill in the 2019 PBA D-League Tuesday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Branrey Bienes scored a game-high 25 points, including nine in the fourth quarter that helped kept Diliman College at bay.

The Tamaraws picked up their fifth win in eight outings in the Foundation Group.

Wendel Comboy also flourished in the final frame where he fired 10 of his 19 points while Ken Tuffin chipped in 11 points and Cameroonian Patrick Tchuente nearly had a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
Kevin Gandjeto posted 22 points and 11 rebounds for Diliman.
