MANILA, Philippines—A man dressed up as Spider-Man ran into the court and collided with San Miguel center June Mar Fajardo in the fourth quarter of Game 5 of the PBA Philippine Cup finals Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The still unidentified audience member ran to the floor with 3:06 left in the game holding a sign saying “vote love!” but bumped hard into Fajardo, who was running back down for defense.

FEATURED STORIES

Araneta’s security personnel immediately apprehended the court invader but that didn’t prevent Ronald Tubid from sneaking in a shot to the runner.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial said in a press conference after that the man in the costume was taken to the nearest police station.

According to San Miguel coach Leo Austria, Fajardo got hit on the jaw on the collision and was left a little groggy after the incident.

The Hotshots escaped the Beermen, 88-86, on a game-winner by Mark Barroca to take a 3-2 lead in the finals.
