World Cup champ Tabora rules CLTBA tourney
After missing a lot of action last year due to injury, 2017 World Cup champion Krizziah Tabora of Sta. Lucia East Tenpin Bowling Association (Sletba)-Prima stamped her class to rule the 1st Central Luzon Tenpin Bowling Alliance (CLTBA) National Open held on Thursday at Starmall Edsa, Mandaluyong City.
Tabora beat the young and talented Philippine Team member Kenzo Umali in the stepladder finals (454-438) in two games. Umali earlier outlasted fellow Philippine team member Kenneth Chua, 245-216, to earn the right to challenge Tabora for the championship.
Tabora actually lost the first game to Umali, 226-188, but came back strong in the second, 266-212.
Tabora has been on leave from the National Team since June 2018 due to health problems. Thus, she was not able to join the qualifying games for the Philippine women’s bowling team. She started competing again in January this year.
