MANILA, Philippines—Athletes aren’t just looked up to with what they do on the court, they also try to be good role models off of it.
Brothers and basketball stars Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena and volleyball ace Alyssa Valdez made sure to exercise their right to vote for the midterm elections Monday.
So did two-time PBA MVP James Yap, former national team coach Chot Reyes, volleyball player Dzi Gervacio and collegiate stars Isaac Go of Ateneo and Wendell Comboy of Far Eastern University, who were among those who posted photos of their inked fingers.
Yap also campaigned for former cager Francis Zamora, the former San Juan City vice mayor who is running for the same position again.
Kiefer posted a Boomerang on Instagram Stories of himself and longtime girlfriend Valdez after voting in their precinct.
Thirdy also documented his voting experience on Instagram, highlighting the indelible ink on his finger.
