LOOK: The best volleyball players of UAAP Season 81 feted

MANILA, Philippines—University of Santo Tomas’ star duo of Cherry Rondina and Eya Laure officially accepted their individual awards in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Rondina accepted the MVP and 2nd Best Outside Hitter after leading the Golden Tigresses to a second-best 10-4 record in the eliminations and their first championship appearance since 2011.

Laure was named the Rookie of the Year and 1st Best Outside Hitter.

The awarding took place before Game 2 of the best-of-three showdown between the Tigresses and Ateneo.

Lai Bendong, Best Setter
Kat Tolentino, Best Opposite Hitter

In the men’s side of things, Bryan Bagunas was a triple winner taking home the MVP, 2nd Best Outside Hitter, and Best Server.
