Fiba 3×3 Asia Cup: Gilas women’s stays unscathed after win over Taipei
MANILA, Philippines—Gilas Pilipinas Women’s squad remained perfect in the Qualifying Draw A after coming away with a 16-13 victory over Chinese Taipei in the Fiba 3×3 Asia Cup Wednesday in Changsan in China.
Jack Danielle Animam led the way for the Philippines with five points to take a its second win in the group.
Afril Bernardino and Janine Pontejos added four points apiece for Gilas while Clare Castro pitched in three.

This win followed up Gilas’ record-setting 21-1 victory against Samoa which set the largest winning margin in tournament history.

The Philippines topped the group with a 2-0 record while Chinese Taipei and Samoa are at 1-1 with Vanuatu getting the lowest rank of 0-2.
Yu-Chun Wei led Chinese Taipei with five points.
