MANILA, Philippines—Two Philippine squads hope to bolster their stay at the penthouse of the standings when they play separate road games in the Asean Basketball League tonight.

Riding on a four-game roll, the AirAsia Philippine Patriots aim to keep the solo lead against defending champion Chang Thailand Slammers at 6 p.m. (7 p.m. Manila time) in the Thai Japanese Association Gym in Bangkok.

In Jakarta, San Miguel Beer tries to stay a close second versus the Indonesia Warriors at 5 p.m. (6 p.m. Manila time) at the Mahaka Square.

Banking on the consistent plays of Anthony Johnson and Al Vergara, the Patriots kept the top spot with a 5-1 record.
