MANILA, Philippines—San Miguel forward Ronald Tubid wholeheartedly accepted the repercussions of his actions during the “Spider-Man” incident that disrupted Game 5 of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals.

Tubid hit court invader Paolo Felizarta, who dressed up as the Marvel superhero, with a cheap shot after the latter collided with Beermen center and five-time MVP, June Mar Fajardo.

“I’ve said right after the incident that I’m sorry for what I’ve done and I’m man enough to accept what the PBA imposed on me,” said Tubid Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum. “I went overboard the PBA rules.”

Tubid was at Araneta to watch his son play in the Batang PBA awarding ceremony.

“I would like to say sorry, again, to boss Willie Marcial and to Spider-Man,” said Tubid, who still attends practice with the Beermen.

“They still need their drill sergeant and even though I’m suspended for three games, I can’t be gone from practice.”
