Woman’s 4-hour plank breaks world record
Planks may look deceivingly easy, but anyone who has tried it will know it is a true test of total body and core strength.
Lasting minutes is already an impressive feat, but one woman from Canada endured for hours to beat the Guinness World Record for Longest Abdominal Female Plank.
Fitness enthusiast and yoga instructor Dana Glowacka held firm for 4 hours and 20 minutes at the First International Plank Training Conference in Naperville, Illinois on May 18.

She outlasted the Guinness World record of 3 hours and 31 minutes achieved by Maria Kalimera of Cyprus on September 2015. Glowacka is seeking to get her record recognized by Guinness World Records.
Glowacka shared pictures and videos from the event to beat Longest Abdominal Female Plank on her Instagram.

“It was so lovely to see my family, friends and so many supporters from close and fare that helps me to hold strong till the ending line!” she said. One of her fans was her brother who traveled 24 hours just to cheer her on.

Glowacka trained with American George E. Hood who planked for 10 hours and 10 minutes last June. The Guinness World Record for a man in an abdominal plank position clocks in at 8 hours and 1 minute, as achieved by Mao Weidong from China in 2016. JB
