Considering the number of national teams it will be going up against, Mighty Sports will be in for a tough competition this time when it represents the country again in Jones Cup in July.
Many-time Asian champion Iran and South Korea and the national sides of Japan, Jordan and Tunisia are entered, all preparing for the World Cup in China starting Aug. 31.
Though Mighty Sports will be reinforced by formidable imports, playing against squads that have been together for so long will still prove to be a tall task.
The event is slated July 12 to 21 in Taipei.
Mighty will be coached by Charles Tiu, who has tapped former Gilas Pilipinas coach Rajko Toroman as consultant.
