MANILA, Philippines—Game 1 of the Finals series Toronto and Golden State may have lacked the sheer entertainment of high-wire dunks, but it did deliver pure unadulterated drama.

From Klay Thompson’s lone standout jam in the first quarter to several gut-wrenching plays late in the fourth including Fred VanVleet’s trick shot, the Raptors and Warriors did not fail to meet the championship hype.
