MANILA, Philippines—Jared Dillinger is now with Barangay Ginebra after the Gin Kings scooped him up from Meralco’s free agent list.

Dillinger ended his six-year stint with the Bolts where he was known as a do-it-all wingman that could play in both the frontcourt and backcourt.

In an article on Spin.ph, Dillinger reportedly didn’t tell Meralco’s management that he will be signing with the Gin Kings after he became an unrestricted free agent.

Meralco team manager Paolo Trillo said the Bolts and Dillinger had a “gentleman’s agreement” that the forward won’t be signing with any other team while he’s in the free agent list to accommodate Meralco’s big signing center Raymond Almazan.

Dillinger, however, won’t be suiting up immediately for the Gin Kings since he’s still nursing a recurring quad injury that’s left him off the floor for two months.

The 6-foot-4 wingman spent his first five years with TNT winning five titles with the franchise.

Dillinger failed to replicate that success with the Bolts but helped the team reach two straight Governors’ Cup finals in 2016 and 2017.
