PVL: BanKo-Perlas ekes out win over BaliPure

MANILA, Philippines–BanKo-Perlas hacked out a 25-23, 23-25, 25-18, 25-16 triumph over BaliPure Saturday for its first win in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.

The Perlas Spikers sized up the Water Defenders in splitting the first two frames before finding traction to handily take the next two sets. They recovered from a loss to the PetroGazz Angels.

Kathy Bersola scored 15 points for BanKo-Perlas which handed BaliPure its second successive defeat.

The Perlas Spikers got the Water Defenders on their tail early fourth set, clutching a slim 8-10 lead before Bersola and Nicole Tiamzon hit their marks, and imports Lakia Bright and Yasemin Yildirin blockaded scoring zones for BaliPure.
