Unbeaten PetroGazz rips shorthanded Motolite

MANILA, Philippines—Petrogazz ran roughshod over a depleted Motolite side to score a 25-22, 25-18, 25-19, Sunday to remain unbeaten in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.

Imports Wilma Salas and Janisa Johnson hammered points at will for the Angels, who hiked their record to 3-0 while handing the Motolite Spikers’ second successive defeat.

Salas scored 25 points, while Johnson added 13 for PetroGazz which has yet to drop a single set the past three matches.

Channon Thompson scored 22 points for Motolite which missed Edina Selimovic who hurt her knee, and Myla Pablo, who is nursing a back injury.
