MANILA, Philippines—Creamline recovered from a lethargic opening set and a rough fourth frame to defeat BanKo Perlas, 23-25, 25-12, 25-17, 25-23, Sunday night in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre.
Aleoscar Blanco fired the winning shot to finally end the Perlas Spikers’ last-ditch comeback attempt and ensure the Cool Smashers’ second win in three matches.
But it was Creamline’s other import, Thai Kuttika Kaewpin, who did most damage, hitting 27 points to inflict the Perlas Spikers’ second setback in three outings.
Creamline was ahead, 21-20, in the fourth until Kath Bersola and Dzi Gervacio scored back-to-back kill-blocks on Alyssa Valdez to take the upper hand.
But a Valdez retaliation and two errors in the row did BanKo Perlas in before Blanco hit the clincher.
