Teams Tenorio, Chan in national 3X3 finals
Team Tenorio of Brgy. Macabalan, Cagayan de Oro, and Team Chan of Brgy. Sto Cristo, Baliwag, Bulacan, were the latest teams to earn tickets to the National Finals of the 2019 PBA Ginebra San Miguel 3×3 Tapang ng Tatluhan.
Composed of John Rey Manatad, Wellard Munoz, Paulino Pardillo Jr. and Joel Sollano, Team Tenorio bested Team Chan, 21-18, in the
North Mindanao regionals last May 25.
Simultaneously, Team Chan, made up of Richard Barrientos, Romnick Fajardo, Earnest Efren Reyes and Jeffrey Surio, snared the North GMA regional title, trumping Team Mercado, 21-13, in the Finals.
Also earning their way to the Nationals are Team Brownlee, which clipped Team Tenorio, 17-15, in Brgy. Bagong Silang, Caloocan; Team Thompson, which outlasted Team Caguioa, 21-19, in Sariaya, Quezon; and Team Ferrer/ERP1, which drubbed Team Ferrer/ Alab1, 16-13, in La Paz, Iloilo.
The champion squads will advance to the Regional Finals on July 5 at Robinsons Place Manila.
