Phoenix Pulse forward Calvin Abueva stands to be fined heavily and suspended lengthily by the Office of the PBA Commissioner for several incidents on and off the court in the past few games of the Fuel Masters.
Commissioner Willie Marcial has summoned the temperamental veteran for a 1 p.m. meeting on Tuesday to explain his actions ranging from supposed disrespectful acts toward Blackwater rookie Bobby Ray Parks’ girlfriend, Maika Rivera, last week to a blatant hit on TNT import Terrence Jones on Sunday night.
Marcial and his staff have remained mum on the subject, but an Inquirer source said that Abueva is in hot water for the past few games now.
Abueva allegedly called Parks’ girlfriend a “bitch” at ringside during a 103-98 win by the Fuel Masters on May 31 at Mall of Asia Arena.
Replays of the league’s game tape also showed Abueva doing lewd acts toward the direction of Rivera.
