With Golden State’s season on the line, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson delivered Tuesday (Manila time) as the Warriors escaped the Toronto Raptors, 106-105, in Game 5 of the NBA Finals.
The best shooting duo the league has ever seen did what they do best especially down the stretch.
Down six with under three minutes left, Curry and Thompson took turns from downtown to spearhead the Warriors’ comeback.
Thompson sparked Golden State’s run with a triple then, after Curry knotted the score at 106 with his own 3-pointer, he hit another from long distance to put the Warriors ahead for good, 106-103, with 56.6 ticks to go.
Curry finished with 31 points on top of eight rebounds and seven assists while Thompson added 26 points built on seven triples. The two combined for 12 of Golden State’s 20 3-pointers.
