Creamline stretches win streak to 4, blanks BaliPure

MANILA, Philippines—Creamline handily picked up its fourth straight victory, beating hard-luck BaliPure, 25-19, 25-18, 25-23, Wednesday in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Jia Morado, the national team star setter, made sure the Cool Smashers utilised their formidable firepower, tossing 19 excellent set to open the offence as they closed out the first round with a 4-1 record.

Creamline out-attacked BaliPure, 17-8 and 13-9 in the first two frames.

But the Water Defenders tried to put up a fight, leading, 21-20, in the third set as the Cool Smashers let down their guards.

That warranted a quick response from Creamline as coach Tai Bundit soon deployed import Aleoscar Blanco who was on the bench as the other Cool Smashers got their minutes.

Very quickly, Blanco’s presence turned things around to deal BaliPure its fifth defeat in as many matches.
