MANILA, Philippines—Creamline stormed to its sixth straight win while stopping Motolite’s own winning streak with a 25-15, 25-20, 25-23 decision for an outright semifinal spot Wednesday night in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The defending champions Cool Smashers broke free from a 6-6 all in the opening set to dictate the tempo of the match, frustrating the maiden appearance of Motolite leader Myla Pablo.

Jia Morado had 26 excellent sets as she got everybody involved in scoring to make sure the Cool Smashers got a trouble-free entry to the next round.

The Motolite spikers, who have won two straight game, absorbed their fifth defeat in two games.
