MANILA, Philippines—Isaac Go distinguished himself among his peers after capturing MVP plum in the 2019 PBA D-League just before Game 3 of the finals Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Ateneo’s jovial big averaged 9.9 points, on 45 percent shooting, with 4.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists to lead the Blue Eagles to an impressive 8-1 record in the eliminations of the Aspirants Group.

This is Go’s first individual trophy in a major competition after spending his first two years in Ateneo as a fringe player.

Go had his best offensive year in the UAAP in Season 80 when he averaged 6.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.4 assists while shooting 45.7 percent from the field.

Go beat out Valencia City-San Sebastian’s Allyn Bulanadi and RK Ilagan, and Ateneo teammate Thirdy Ravena.
