Two more national team players completed their move to clubs in the strongest league in the region—the Thai Premier League—as the transfer window opened early this month.
Leftback Daisuke Sato has signed with Thai giants Muangthong United, while midfielder Kevin Ingreso decided to switch from Ceres Negros to reigning TPL champion Buriram United.
Sato is relishing his new challenge with a Muangthong side currently mired in the relegation battle, running 14th in the 16-team first division. The bottom three teams at the end of the season will be relegated.
Ingreso joins Buriram with solid credentials, having played a key role for the Azkals in the AFF Suzuki Cup last year as well as the AFC Asian Cup in January.
