Iwasaki leads by one in Iloilo
ILOILO–Japanese Makoto Iwasaki birdied two of his last five holes to shoot a six-under-par 64 on Wednesday and lead Michael Bibat by a shot at the start of the ICTSI Iloilo Golf Challenge here.
Makoto completed what he described as a “perfect game” after missing the cut at Binitin and playing just one round at Marapara the last two weeks.
Aussie Fidel Concepcion and Thai Kammalas Namuangruk fired 66s while American Lexus Keoninh, Dutch Guido Van der Valk and Tim Stewart, another Australian, matched Anthony Fernando’s 67. Hot favorite Juvic Pagunsan shot a 69.
