Creamline trips Army, catches PetroGazz on top

Creamline disarmed PacificTown-Army, 16-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-16, to regain the share of the lead in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference at Filoil Flying V Centre.

Later, Nicole Tiamzon once again turned in an import-size performance, scoring 19 points, including five in the touch-and-go homestretch to give BanKo Perlas a 25-18, 25-19, 25-21 victory over BaliPure.

It was BanKo Perlas’ fourth win in nine games, bolstering its semifinals chances as it tied PacificTown-Army at second place. BaliPure fell to 0-9.

Venezuelan Aleoscar Blanco banged in 16 points for the Cool Smashers who are now at 8-1, tying PetroGazz at the top.

“We remained calm and relaxed. Happy,” Blanco said.
