MANILA, Philippines—F2 Logistics held a tight leash on defense while letting loose Kalei Mau in offense to defeat Petron, 25-21, 17-25, 27-25, 25-19, late Thursday and stay unbeaten in the Philippine Superliga All Filipino Conference at FilOil Flying V Center.
Mau scored 23 points including the game-clinching after Petron erased four match-points in what was viewes by many as preview of the championships.
The Cargo Movers now occupy the top spot at 4-0 and the morale edge over the defending champions Blaze Spikers who absorbed their first defeat in three starts.
“It’s going to be an exciting conference, exciting year ahead,” said Mau, referring to the rivalry between F2 and Petron.
