MANILA, Philippines—Things are looking brighter for Poy Erram in his life outside the basketball floor.
NLEX’s lanky center and fiancé Jerry Rabano held a civil wedding to tie the knot on Wednesday at Makati City Hall.
As they await they church bells in 2020, they are also looking forward to the birth of their child this year
“My wife is pregnant so we want our child to be legitimate,” said Erram in Filipino after the Road Warriors’ 100-97 win over Rain or Shine in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“It’s a great feeling when you’re expecting things that you know will bring you great joy and it’ll also help me personally. This is for my growth and also for my maturity.”
Erram added that their civil marriage was a simple affair but he and Rabani are also gearing up for a “more intense” preparation for their church wedding on Feb. 27, 2020.
The national team center added that he always finds inspiration in his wife whenever he plays but a family of his own is another blessing for him.
“I’m always inspired to play,” said Erram who had 13 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. “Well I’m more inspired now because we’re going to be a family.”
