Celtics star Rondo suspended for two games
BOSTON – The National Basketball Association has slapped Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo with a two-game ban for hitting an official with a game ball, the team announced Monday.
The league’s disciplinary chiefs suspended Rondo “for throwing a ball at an official and striking him in the chest” during a 96-81 loss against Detroit on Sunday.
The 26-year-old Rondo will miss Monday’s game at Dallas and Wednesday’s contest against Oklahoma City.
