MANILA, Philippines–Danijela Dzakovic went viral for the wrong reason.
The Montenegrin import of luckless BaliPure was seen slamming the head of libero Jewelle Bermillo during Set 1 of their game against Creamline.
But BaliPure coach Rommel Abella said they players quickly patched things up after Dzakovic asked for forgiveness.
Yet the damage has been done especially for the Water Defenders who dropped all 10 matches in the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference.
Twitter lit up in comments as the short video clip of Dzakovic slammed a right to Bermillo’s head went around online.
Bermillo said she has forgiven Dzakovic although she said she was reduced to tears due to embarrassment and her contact lens fell out.
Abella said Dzakovic was just frustrated over their campaign.
