MANILA, Philippines–Creamline outgunned PacificTown-Army, 26-24, 25-21, 23-25, 25-20, Wednesday to move just a win away from making the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference championship at Filoil Flying V Center.

The Cool Smashers allowed the Lady Troopers to gain their footing after yielding the third set. But they opened the fourth frame with a hail of attacks led by import Kuttika Kaewpin.

The Thai reinforcement scored 21 points, while fellow import Aleoscar Blanco added 19 markers for the Cool Smashers.

PacificTown-Army was saddled by errors in the first two sets, committing 17 in that span. That’s something Creamline took advantage to the hilt.

The Cool Smashers can make it straight to the final with a win in Game 2 of their best-of-three semifinals series on Saturday.
