Banal bails out bacoor
Reigning Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL) Most Valuable Player Gab Banal knows it will take awhile before the revamped Bacoor Strikers finally play to their potential in the Lakan Season.
While the Strikers, who have four MPBL All Stars in their lineup, are figuring things out, Banal—just like last season—is taking it upon himself to take charge when the game is hanging in the balance.
Banal showed why he is the league’s top player, burying two late triples as the Strikers spoiled Pasig Sta. Lucia’s home debut with a thrilling 73-64 victory on Wednesday night at Pasig Sports Complex.

“Our team remains a work in progress. They say we’re strong on paper, but a team needs to be a team in order for us to win. It’s a process. Good thing it’s a long tournament, but I like the progress of the team.”
