MANILA, Philippines—Chris McCullough’s debut game in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup was nothing short of magnificent.

Despite getting called for six fouls, one of which he called BS, McCullough lit up for 47 points and 10 rebounds to lead San Miguel to the 109-105 victory over NLEX Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.

“It was fun, we got a win, we played hard, that’s basketball,” said McCullough who replaced Charles Rhodes as the Beermen’s foreign player. “We got a win, I went out there and played hard.”

McCullough already had 45 points by the end of the third quarter, 23 of which came in that frame, and he had a legitimate shot of breaching the 50-point barrier in the fourth until he was called for a foul on NLEX import Olu Ashaolu.

Ashaolu drove to the basket with less than three minutes remaining and forced contact with several San Miguel players, but McCullough though was just unfortunate to have been whistled for the foul.

McCullough, though, didn’t regret leaving the game before the final buzzer sounded but he did complain that it shouldn’t have been him.

“Do I regret the foul? No, because we got the win and I didn’t even foul him,” said McCullough who left the game with 2:24 to play. “They called it on me, it is what it is, but that’s [expletive].”

After an outstanding performance, McCullough knows exactly how to celebrate.

“Everybody love me, so I love everybody else I will get that Jollibee,” said McCullough who also loves the restaurant’s gravy. “They follow me on Twitter. I’m trying to get an endorsement deal with them, so if y’all want to give me that deal, hit me up.”
