Family affair: Jimuel Pacquiao joins dad Manny in training at Wild Card
MANILA, Philippines—Jimuel Pacquiao, the eldest son of boxing legend Manny Pacquiao, is determined to make a name for himself in the sport.
And so far, he’s been doing the work to reach his goal.
The 18-year-old Jimuel on Tuesday (Manila time) even joined his old man in training at Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles as the eight-division champion enters the homestretch of his buildup for his welterweight title unification fight against Keith Thurman.
In a video on ABS-CBN News, Jimuel was seen doing mitts with boxer turned trainer Marvin Somodio while the elder Pacquiao watches inside the ring.
The fighting senator faces Thurman on July 21 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
