Ateneo stars lead Choco Mucho team in PVL Open Conference

ANTIPOLO CITY, Philippines — Ateneo’s championship core will transition from the UAAP to the Premier Volleyball League with Rebisco’s Choco Mucho set to join the Open Conference with the Lady Eagles as its main force.
The trio of Kat Tolentino, Maddie Madayag, and Bea De Leon will banner Choco Mucho in the PVL’s Open conference together with Ateneo teammate Kim Gequillana.
This will be the first time in PVL history that there will be sister teams since Choco Mucho and Creamline are both under the Rebisco umbrella.
PVL tournament director Tony Boy Liao confirmed Choco Mucho’s inclusion to the league at the end of the Reinforced Conference when PetroGazz beat the Cool Smashers, 25-15, 28-30, 25-23, 25-19, in Game 3 of the finals.
Others who will play for Choco Mucho are Bang Pineda, Carla Sandoval, Erika Alkuino, and Gyra Barroga.
Ateneo head coach Oliver Almadro will call the shots for Choco Mucho.
