MANILA, Philippines–Shooting guard Edson Batiller got several open looks and made half of them to spearhead Letran’s 55-43 win over slumping Jose Rizal University on Tuesday at the NCAA Season 95 men’s basketball tournament.

The defense-oriented match forced Letran star Jerrick Balanza to struggle completely on the floor that prompted Batiller, forward Ato Ular and Paolo Javillonar to step up for the Knights, who secured their second victory after an opening-day defeat at the hands of Lyceum.

For the third straight match, the Heavy Bombers couldn’t match up with the offensive firepower of their rivals and fell to 0-3.
